About Flamenco Worcester
Flamenco Worcester is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building community through the art of flamenco in Central Massachusetts. Bringing together students, performers, and enthusiasts, Flamenco Worcester fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals of all backgrounds can connect through dance, music, and cultural expression.
Our diverse community includes participants from Spain, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Uruguay, Brazil, Poland, Russia, the United States, Lebanon, Italy, Turkey, and the Dominican Republic—reflecting the rich cultural tapestry that defines our organization. Students and performers regularly share their work through community events, festivals, and educational programs across the region.
Under the artistic direction of Edmy Ortiz, Flamenco Worcester has presented performances throughout Massachusetts for over a decade, including at venues and events such as the Worcester Public Library, Southbridge Public Library, Worcester Latin Festivals, Centro Las Americas, Out to Lunch Worcester, and numerous schools, cultural festivals, and senior centers.
